From the Times News:
Summerfield-based Stewart Wimberley Enterprises, LLC, submitted site plans for a two-building multi-family apartment complex for the TRC’s consideration. The proposed Kirkwood Place Apartments is planned for 3.16 acres along Kirkwood Drive, next to Bible Baptist Church at 2733 Kirkwood Drive, adjacent to Home Depot.
City Planner Daniel Shoffner said the property would have to be rezoned since, “Most of it’s industrial right now.” Jerry Parker, president of Stewart Wimberley Enterprises, LLC, said the plan is to apply for conditional zoning multi-family housing.
The proposed plans put the two apartment buildings at three stories tall and 14,400 square feet each, with a total of 53 apartments in the complex.
